Poem:The Prom Night Blues
64
The Prom Night Blues
I give my prom dates their rightful due
And I use the plural cause I took two
One said I was all that she wanted
The other, two big things she flaunted
Needless to say, I had a huge smile
But Lo’ I fear I was living in denial
I was content when eyes went to rolling
With slap in the face, I needed consoling
I found in the end, two tires were flat
Their one thing in common, it had to be that
So never assume, pick one or the other
See if the other will hook up your brother
Satire and Poetry
It seems that the ancient Romans knew a thing or two about humor. They combined Poetry and Satire to use politically. In history poets have lost their heads from writing satirical poems. So consider this before attempting. Remember to behead or not to behead? Exactly!
